Accepting What Is 🤝🏻💗🙏🕊

Tulips in the park

It was early Saturday morning and my plans got canceled, for the second time. And it was disappointing.

I got caught up in my head with negativity and upset, and the energy just kept spiraling. I knew I needed to do something about it. So I took myself on a walk to the park.

I usually always turn right when I enter at 77th and Central Park West, but today I took a left.

I changed course.

As soon as I made that choice, my face lit up because I saw the view in front of me. A view I don’t typically see from this angle, and it was spectacular. I could see a small pathway in a forest of balancing green.

I took a deep breath.

I felt the hot air all around me.

And I stepped forward.

As I began walking, I started to accept in my mind what had just happened…

There are things in life we just can’t control.

But when we loosen our grip on those things, and lighten up, and accept what comes or what doesn’t… somehow everything becomes a little bit lighter, and a little bit easier.

This is definitely easier said than done, as most things in life are… but when you have those moments of surrender, from a deep spiritual heartfelt space in your soul~ not out of obligation, you lighten up on yourself and let go of some of your inner critic’s judgment. You allow the space now~ to breathe.

When we hold such a tight grip on our lives, there is no space for the universe to work through it.

The next time time you feel like everything is out of your control, don’t forget you have the power to do something for yourself. Step forward in the direction you want to be. Take action. And allow the universe to collaborate and put you in the moment in which you’re meant to be.

It can be as simple as taking a deep breath 💚
