Let it light you up from the inside out.
I’ve been up in Connecticut celebrating the New Year with my family. The Jewish New Year represents bringing in new beginnings, atonement for your sins, forgiveness, and a new perspective to 𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕.
I was invited to a lovely artist’s home. Not only was her home filled with textiles and original artwork, but her house sat perched on a cliff overlooking beauty in its most natural state.
She commented, “As you can see, I’m constantly catching the light.”
A phrase that resonated with me so closely because I see light in everything - in art, in the day, within my soul, and emanating from those around me.
My folks and I went out to dinner one evening, and as we were walking to a table on the patio, I literally stopped in my tracks as the sun was glistening on these pink flowers and the golf course.
My mother asked me why I had stopped, and I responded, “I want to catch the light.”
It was a beautiful moment, not only did I see the beauty of what was in front of me, but also the beauty nature creates, and it made me stop to appreciate what lights me up.
Where are you catching the light? The little moments of joy, the simple views in front of us, the spark that lights you up.
Give yourself the permission to enjoy your day...
amidst the chaos
among the tasks
entangled with the anxiety
Only you have the power to change your thoughts. Take control of that power - 𝓽𝓸𝓭𝓪𝔂
