She walked in wearing a vibrant red Marimekko tent dress.
You could feel her fire - it was so great to see her looking so beautiful - my friend and former client.
โI wore this just for you tonight.โ she stated. โYou taught me so much about color and emotions, and I had to show up looking festive for you!โ
โWow! You look really great!โ
โAs I was walking here tonight, I had remembered you telling me about the color spaces in our sessions. If I remember correctly, it was something about going up and down the elevator with color. You totally have to make time tonight to share all of that with me again, because I want to share it with my daughter and help her understand how color works.โ
โSure, itโd be my pleasure!โ I poured us both a glass of malbec and started to share about the energy of color spacesโฆ
Letโs imagine we are taking an elevator up into our soulsโ energy, our color spaces. We will be tapping into how emotions and energy connect us to the colors of our soul using the chakras.
First floor- red space, the root chakra (at the base of your spine) and the true grounding essence of your being. Itโs the fire and the boldness within you. The red energy keeps you grounded and centered. This is where you discover your deep passions and your true desires, allowing yourself to not only survive, but to thrive. Embracing this energy and fire within, gives you the permission to drop the fear and to step into boldness and create the life you yearn for.

As we escalate, next we find ourselves in the orange glow. The sacral chakra (just below your belly button) connecting us to our sensuality. In this space we find deep courage to live a life of pleasures. Enjoying all of lifeโs bountifulness, but also embracing boundaries to enjoy the pleasures to their fullest. The orange glow is where we find the sweetness of creativity. Open yourself up to curiosity and never forget that hope is around the corner. Thereโs always more to discover.

We move up to the 3rd floor: the solar plexus (your core), a yellow space. Itโs the most powerful center allowing our will, our worth, our joy, and our self-confidence to beam through. Itโs the self-care and the efforts to adorn yourself with. Here, youโll discover a sense of strength and power to be all that you can be. Are you ready to own your confidence in yellow?

If so, step up into the heart of your being, the green space within- your heart chakra. Itโs the possibility of expansion, truth, harmony and balance. Allowing this space to be open and honest, will lead you to endless possibilities and opportunities. Get out of your head and grow into the world from your heart.

Once youโre growing freely, move into the serenity of turquoise, the throat chakra. This is our communication center. Find honesty and forgiveness in your voice, with yourself and others. Truth and clarity will bring peace. Whether you say it, write it or think it, finding this truth of who you are will allow you to own your boundaries. When one achieves this there is no greater gift on earth, a true blessing.

Next level- your indigo space deep as a starry night sky. This is where we find the center of wisdom. Here in the brow chakra (between your eyebrows) lies your higher purpose, why are you here? Diving into this space asks the questions: Am I happy with who I am? Am I satisfied in my relationships? Itโs reflective and meditative. Itโs taking time for yourself in a quiet space. Clearing this space will connect you to the larger energy of the universe.
.
.
.
The last stop is the magenta space, the crown chakra. Itโs about stepping into your highest self, showing up for yourself in the best way possible; looking good, feeling good, dressing up, and showing up owning who you are. Finding this space connects your root to a higher divine energy and everything else along the way.

As we make our way up the elevator, if one space is out of balance, the elevator canโt move up. But, if everything is aligned, the elevator can move freely and youโre rockinโ & rollinโ!
So, ask your daughter, what color is the elevator stopping on?
